Cadence Weekly Update

Features

  • Data source management got a status column — Data Studio’s data sources table now shows connection/sync status at a glance, and lists sort by creation date instead of last-update date, so newly added sources surface reliably even when the underlying data hasn’t changed.
  • New segment search bar — Account Segments and Global Segment Templates pages now have search, making it much easier to find a specific segment in a long list.
  • Integration recommendations when creating segments — the segment-creation flow now suggests relevant integrations, so users don’t have to hunt for them separately.
  • Create audiences directly from a dataset — a new action lets users spin up an audience straight from a dataset in Data Studio.
  • Richer record formatting in Data Studio tables — phone numbers and array values now display in a readable, formatted way, and ID fields no longer show stray commas.
  • More control over audience update schedules — audience lists can now be set to update on a schedule, though changing the update frequency is now restricted to admins to prevent accidental changes.
  • Admins can assign access roles from a user’s details page — no need to leave the page to grant or manage a user’s permissions.
  • Google Ads settings improvements — the settings table now shows the actual Google Tag ID, and the connection flow properly reflects a “pending/connecting” state while a new account is being linked.
  • Cleaner, less cluttered tables — colored status “chip” badges were removed from data model, data source, and dataset tables/detail pages in favor of simpler plain-text labels.
  • Privacy shielding for segment totals — when data-shield mode is on, certain sensitive segment totals are now blurred instead of shown in plain numbers.
  • Refreshed layout for campaign and automated email details pages — buttons, popovers, and metric cards were restyled for a more consistent look, with improved responsiveness on smaller screens and better loading states.

Performance

  • Fewer wasted background page loads — a new safeguard prevents the app from silently pre-loading or acting on login/SSO pages when a browser tries to prefetch them in the background, avoiding unnecessary network activity and preventing prefetching from interfering with a real sign-in attempt.
  • Faster bulk selection — “select all” in segment/audience lists now fetches all matching records efficiently rather than only what’s currently loaded on screen.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a broken partner logo on first-party segment/audience screens.
  • Fixed unreliable list rendering in the shopper segments analysis totals, which could previously show duplicate or mismatched entries when data refreshed.
  • Fixed Google Ads connections getting stuck in an incorrect “not found” status while still connecting.
  • Added validation safeguards to the audience editor, preventing saves with no update frequency selected and showing a clear error message instead of failing silently.
